Mackenzie earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Southeastern Louisiana University, where she built strong problem-solving and analytical skills that now serve her well in bookkeeping and accounting. She spent three years mentoring under an experienced accountant and went on to manage that accounting firm, leading a team of four bookkeepers. Today, she combines that expertise with a passion for helping small business owners stay organized, confident, and in control of their finances
With nearly a decade of experience in customer service and sales, Miranda developed strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. These skills shaped the way she approached sales and strengthened her attention to detail. Today, she leads the sales efforts while also assisting with client accounts, combining her background with a passion for helping business owners feel confident and supported in their finances.
True Balance Bookkeeping is owned and operated by lifelong friends, Miranda and Mackenzie. Their story began back in 6th grade in an entrepreneurship class, where they first discovered their love for small business and built a friendship that’s lasted ever since.
Years later, they worked closely together at an accounting firm — Miranda excelling in sales and Mackenzie leading as bookkeeper and junior accountant. They realized how much they enjoyed combining their strengths: organization, strategy, and building strong client relationships.
Today, as co-owners of True Balance Bookkeeping, they help small business owners with everything from bookkeeping and taxes to tackling the “I’ll do it later” pile, making finances less overwhelming and more manageable so you can focus on what you do best!
